Wow, thirty nine of these. I suppose I had no idea where I was headed when I started them, but this is more than I expected.

Well, I got a ton done on the Universal Carrier review tonight - still have to write up an intro, but the rest is about done except for some formatting. Then it's off to the reader, and we're set.

I also got the Crusader Miniatures figures nearly done tonight. Since they were the largest group of 28mm US Infantry in the review (I double ordered for a variety of reasons), I'm pleased with that. I pulled out the Bolt Action - only one pack of four figures - to start next.

We're going to be doing some architecture updates in the near future. Shouldn't impact Wargames except that the occasional "timeout" error that crops up should go away, but you never know, so I'll be watching closely.

The surprise I mentioned over in the forums? We're working on the major site upgrade I was talking about.  It's barely started, but it's going to be nice - it will restore RSS, but will return Polls, will make in-line editing easier, and will allow us to do several things we can't do now - streaming video being the most beneficial.

It will also set us up to take advertisements. It is not decided that we ever will, not even likely that we ever will. But  having the system designed to take advertisements leaves options open to us at least.

It's a painful upgrade though - particularly for user data - so we're taking our time and getting it right the first time. I'll warn you here before we flick the switch, even post the URL a day or two before hand, so the couple of you that have been following along get some benefit from reading my ramblings :-).

Anyway, off to bed.

Don.
