Perry ACWs, more micro armor, and what's next. Dealing with vendors.

Tonight wasn't quite the smash I expected, I nearly completed the Perry ACW review, but misjudged how long the facial features would take. I'm on final touch-up except two of the officers' sashes and the drummer's drum... So one more night. Maybe I'll get a chance to wash them tomorrow also, that would just leave final spray.

They're done well enough, but if I were doing them for myself, I'd have gone a little more crazy with detail. There's so much you can do with a Reb unit, but when doing a review, getting too carried away can unfairly damage the vendor, so I kept it pretty tame.

Vendors are an interesting lot. You know, some of them go out of their way to keep us in the loop, some of them don't even respond to our queries. This doesn't seem to have sound business logic behind it, but one has to figure that they have some kind of reasoning.

We do try to be fair in our reviews. It's tough to say a vendor fell down on something, but if we're not honest with you then there's no reason to come here... So we bite the bullet and do it right.

I ordered some more micro armor, I think we'll finally have a solid base for comparison... So it can go on the pile.

But first up is the 15mm WWII Americans in Great Coats (right after I paint some 15mm Friekorps Sheep for a friend). I'm looking forward to the Americans.

Anyway, off to do some picture editing for the Irregular miniatures review.

Until next time,
